DEFACTO presented at the Battery2030+ Conference European perspectives on batteries of the future.

Our Project coordinator CIDETEC presented the DEFACTO Project during the Battery2030+ web conference about European perspectives on batteries of the future, which was celebrated on May 25 and 26.The conference was originally planned to be held presential, but it had to be reorganised in an online format due to COVID-19 mobility restrictions. Despite this, the two-days event was a great success and it counted with up to 750 online participants.Scientists, industry representatives, politicians, and journalists from all over the world followed the programme, a display of...

DEFACTO – Battery DEsign and manuFACTuring Optimization through multiphysic modelling

The DEFACTO project kicked off last month in San Sebastián, Spain. The name of this initiative is the acronym for Battery DEsign and manuFACTuring Optimization through multiphysic modelling. In this sense, the project’s rationale is to develop a multiphysic and multiscale modelling integrated tool to better understand the material, cell and manufacturing process behaviour, therefore allowing to accelerate cell development and the R&I process. This approach will allow developing new high capacity and high voltage Li-ion cell generation 3b battery....
