DEFACTO creates synergies with related projects

Our project coordinator María Yáñez and Elixabete Ayerbe, from CIDETEC, held a videconference with representatives from TU Braunschweig, coordinator of the LC-BAT-07 project LiPLanet, on October 9. The aim of the call was to seek potential synergies between LiPLanet and the DEFACTO Project, since each of them work on different realms but with the same aim to build a more competitive Li-ion battery cell manufacturing ecosystem for electric vehicles in Europe.

LiPLanet is bringing together the most relevant European Li-ion cell pilot lines and the main stakeholders of the battery sector, while DEFACTO is developing a multiphysic and multiscale modelling tool to improve the understanding of Li-ion cell material behaviour and cell manufacturing process.

Both projects agreed on liaising on the following:

•             To create partnerships between LC-BAT EU-funded projects.

•             To increase the outreach of projects’ results.

•             To align the research expected in LC-BAT topics.

Further talks will take place in the coming weeks with other related projects to look for synergies and potential collaborations.
