Digital approach in battery development workshop

The DEFACTO Project hosted the “Online Joint Workshop: Digital approach in Battery development” on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, at 13:30 (CET). This event, organized by CIDETEC in collaboration with other LC-BAT-5, LC-BAT-6 and LC-BAT-7 projects, gathered a wide range of experts to discuss different approaches to implement digitalization for battery development, and it counted with over 170 attendees. The participating projects were 3Believe, COBRA, DEFACTO, HYDRA, LiPLANET, MODALIS2, and SeNSE. The workshop also counted on the presence of  BATTERY 2030+, an initiative promoting long-term research in the battery field that is comprised by seven more projects. The session aimed...

DEFACTO at the International Advanced Battery Conference

The DEFACTO Project coordinators CIDETEC and our partners from Madrid’s Polytechnic University (Univesidad Politécnica de Madrid) are attending the online International Advanced Battery Conference, taking place from 27 to 29 April 2021, where they will present a scientific poster about model-based characterization for silicon-carbon blended electrodes for the design of better performing lithium-ion batteries. As part of the Battery Systems thematic block, they will present a novel methodology to identify relevant transport parameters for each component of the electrode, which is accomplished by using specific test protocols adapted to the proprietary silicon-carbon...

DEFACTO creates synergies with related projects

Our project coordinator María Yáñez and Elixabete Ayerbe, from CIDETEC, held a videconference with representatives from TU Braunschweig, coordinator of the LC-BAT-07 project LiPLanet, on October 9. The aim of the call was to seek potential synergies between LiPLanet and the DEFACTO Project, since each of them work on different realms but with the same aim to build a more competitive Li-ion battery cell manufacturing ecosystem for electric vehicles in Europe. LiPLanet is bringing together the most relevant European Li-ion cell pilot lines and the main stakeholders of...
