DEFACTO AT THE TRANSPORT RESEARCH ARENA (TRA) CONFERENCE

From November 14-17, our project coordinator María Yañez from CIDETEC attended Europe’s largest mobility and transport research and technology conference.

This year, the TRA conference was celebrated in Lisbon, Portugal. There, national and international experts were brought together to discuss the present and future of mobility. The conference’s main topics revolved around green mobility and decarbonization; innovative infrastructures for Europe in 2030; policies and economics for a competitive Europe.

On behalf of the DEFACTO consortium, Maria presented the initiative in the context of accelerated multiscale & multiphysics modelling tools for battery cell manufacturing improvement where she introduced an overview of the project, the DEFACTO’s multiscale multiphysics tools, the experimental approach and characterization as well as the project workflow and the standardization activities.

The Transport Research Arena was initiated in 2006 and takes place every two years in a European city. The TRA is supported by the European Commission, by CEDR (Conference of European Directors of Roads) and the European Technology Platforms ERTRAC (European Road Transport Research Advisory Council), ERRAC (European Rail Research Advisory Council), WATERBORNE and ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration).
