DLR AWARDED WITH THE GOLDEN SPIKE
Every year, representatives of the national research community who use the high-performance computing resources of the high-performance computing center in Stuttgart (HLRS) meet in Stuttgart-Vaihingen for the annual HLRS Results and Review Workshop.
On October 4-5, 2022, the participants presented and discussed their research projects from the past 12 months. In this context, DLR was awarded there with the Golden Spike for outstanding achievements in research and excellent usage of computing resources in the framework of Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of Flow, Transport, and Reactions in Battery Components mainly developed within the DEFACTO project.
HLRS is one of Europe’s fastest supercomputers and with a large team of high-performance computing (HPC) experts that provides essential tools and solutions for cutting-edge academic and industrial research, particularly in the sciences and computational engineering. It is among the Top 10 fastest supercomputers in Europe, and among the Top 30 fastest supercomputers in the world.
