DEFACTO AT THE ModVal 2023 Event

From March 21 to March 23, 2023, some of the DEFACTO partners attended the 19th Symposium on Fuel Cell & Battery Modelling & Experimental Validation, ModVal in Germany.

On the one hand, the Technische Universtität Braunschweig, presented a poster about the CFD-DEM simulation model of the drying process where they explained the basic methods and models and show the capabilities of the model to investigate the ongoing mechanisms and predict the structure for different processes and formulation parameters. On the other hand, the Polytechnic University of Madrid participated in a session about understanding the Dynamics of Lithium-Ion Transport in Graphite-Silicon Composite Electrodes through Model Analysis. Last but not least, DLR also attended the event where they showcased the initiative.

The ModVal event takes place every year and brings together researchers from academia and industry, as well as theorists and experimenters to discuss the latest research results, advances in modelling and experimental work on model validation for fuel cells, batteries and electrolysis.

The DEFACTO project participated last year. Our partner Polytechnic University of Madrid, presented the initiative in the framework of “Time-adaptive reduced-order model for parameters optimisation of a lithium-ion cell”.  Read more here
