DEFACTO at the International Advanced Battery Conference

The DEFACTO Project coordinators CIDETEC and our partners from Madrid’s Polytechnic University (Univesidad Politécnica de Madrid) are attending the online International Advanced Battery Conference, taking place from 27 to 29 April 2021, where they will present a scientific poster about model-based characterization for silicon-carbon blended electrodes for the design of better performing lithium-ion batteries.

As part of the Battery Systems thematic block, they will present a novel methodology to identify relevant transport parameters for each component of the electrode, which is accomplished by using specific test protocols adapted to the proprietary silicon-carbon composite anode. Besides, they will also discuss some distinguished limit models, corresponding to particular anode operation conditions and electrode utilization stages.

The International Advanced Battery Conference, celebrated on a digital platform for the first time, brings engineers and scientists from the entire field of batteries together, presenting up-to-date information on cutting-edge battery technology, the latest research results, and forward-looking concepts.
